Collection of personal data via this site is based on your legitimate recruitment interest. If you decide to provide us with personal information then this is completely voluntary and you have the right to access, rectify or delete it at any later time.
Oxy will not process your user information without a lawful basis to do so, as such basis are defined in Article 6 of the GDPR. In general, we will process your user information on the legal bases of consent and otherwise on the basis of the following legitimate interests, provided that such interests are not overridden by your privacy rights and interests: allowing you to submit Personal Data as required for you to utilize personalized features of this site (which use is voluntary) and apply for employment with Oxy and/or its affiliates and subsidiaries.
Your Registration / Job Application
You may visit this site without providing personal data. Registration is required, however, if you elect to apply for employment and in connection with other, personalized features of the site (see list below).

Your registration is voluntary, but necessary for these purposes. Your user account profile will be used to record your choices, preferences and other information (e.g. your CV/resume, contact information, etc.) provided in a particular service context.
The type of information collected is that which is necessary to implement your search for employment with us. Information collected may include: your name, address (physical and email), telephone number, and past employment history. We also seek to ensure equal opportunities; however provision of relevant information will only be obligatory, where we are legally obliged to monitor these.
Use of Your Information
Oxy’s recruitment teams as well as service providers may access and handle your personal data solely to provide you with the services requested and to manage your application, if submitted. We may also share your information with our affiliate and subsidiary companies if we believe these companies have employment opportunities for which you may be qualified.
Our recruiters may also contact you in connection with ongoing recruitment opportunities. Please keep your profile and personal data you may have submitted up to date.
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law such as to comply with a subpoena or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the edicts of the law, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on us or to protect and defend our rights or property.
Use of Social Media Profiles
If you choose to use your social media profile (in LinkedIn or similar) on our careers website, you grant permission to the social network to share basic account information with us such as name, telephone number and email address. During the application process you may also choose to import your work experience and education history. Please note that this is a once only import and you will need to ensure the ongoing accuracy of your personal data in our careers site. During any subsequent applications you will also have the opportunity to update your information using your social media profile again. You can disconnect your social media account from our site at any time by clicking the “Unauthorize” link on the social networking information page in your account area. You can also revoke access from the social networking site itself.
Information Placed on your Computer; Cookies

- You have an ongoing matter with us.
- If you are suspected or have misused our services.
- Your employment application has been rejected within the last six years of the time the job requisition has been filled.
- Your right to object to processing based on legitimate interest: You have the right to object to processing of your personal data that you believe is not based on our legitimate interest. We will suspend processing of the personal data unless we can demonstrate a legitimate ground for the process which overrides your interest and rights or due to legal claims.
Right to restriction: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data under the following circumstances:
- If you claim that your personal data is incorrect, we will restrict all processing of such data pending the verification of the accuracy of the personal data.
- If the processing is unlawful you can oppose the erasure of personal data and instead request the restriction of the use of your personal data instead
- If we no longer need the personal data but it is required for you to make of defending legal claims.

Except as discussed above, we will keep your user profile and (if any) application data for as long as legally required.
Alternatively, you can access and change/delete your user profile's content at any time and may also request that your entire user profile be deleted from our database.
We care about the protection of your user information and use industry standard safeguards to do so. Of course, it's important to keep in mind that no data transmission on the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Your information is stored on our vendor’s servers currently located at Chicago, Illinois in the United States. If you utilize the features of this site requiring provision of personal data, you consent to processing of your personal data in the United States. Our vendor uses industry standard physical, electronic, and organizational safeguards to protect your user information against loss or theft as well as unauthorized access and disclosure to protect your privacy. We treat data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. Our vendors use many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet. In the Event of Sale or Bankruptcy
Our ownership may change at some point in the future. In the event of a sale, merger, public offering, bankruptcy or other change in control of Oxy, your information may be shared with the acquiring entity. Opting out of receiving information from third parties will not affect our right to transfer your information to a new owner, but your choices will continue to be respected regarding the use of your information.
